Mike Rainey, Ralph Cunningham Award Winner

Mike Rainey works full time at the Rose Theatre as a theatre technician.  He has designed the lighting for ten of the Globe shows in a volunteer capacity.  In 2008, Mike won a Thea Award from the Association of Community Theatres - Central Ontario (ACT-CO) for his lighting design of Singing in the Rain and was nominated in 2009 for Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

From those who have worked with him, Mike is known as an extremely hard worker, using his own vacation days during tech week (the week preceeding the opening of the show when all the technical components are set including lighting and sound) to make sure everything is set up and working before the cast arrives in the evening to rehearse.

Thank you, Mike, for all that you have contributed.  You are an incredibly valuable asset to Globe and to the theatre!
